Molly smiles back and feels a bit more sure of herself.
"Yeah? They sound a lot like all other parents," she says, which is comforting and surprising. She kind of wonders where Sherlock and Mycroft came from then if his parents are as normal as he describes. She imagines they aren't really. There is probably a lot more to them than that.
"My mum is a retired school teacher."
She thinks she should probably offer up some information about her family. It doesn't seem fair that she keep it to herself.
"She's...well, difficult I guess I might say. We're not very close."
Molly doesn't really like talking about her mum. It feels wrong to not be close with your own mother. It makes her feel like a bad daughter.
